Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Snap application (the "Service"), provided by Sejr Lund Bøyesen ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Snap is a photo-based calorie and macronutrient tracker that uses AI to estimate the nutritional content of meals from images and voice corrections. Estimates are approximations and are not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.

2. Eligibility & account

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. You must not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any party;
• Upload malware, attempt to probe, scan, or compromise security;
• Scrape, automate, or reverse engineer the Service;
• Resell, redistribute, or circumvent technical limits of the Service.

4. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and AI models, is owned by Sejr Lund Bøyesen or its licensors and is protected by applicable IP laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for personal use within your selected plan. You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, voice notes), and you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service.

5. Subscriptions, payments, and refunds

Snap is offered with a 7-day free trial followed by a recurring subscription. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, taxes, renewal, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy. You may cancel your subscription at any time via the in-app subscription management page; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

6. Service level & warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates produced by the AI will be accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be brought before the competent courts of Denmark, subject to any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
